In The Past: The Studio
After three years of photographing on-location in clients homes, an opportunity came to create roots in a dedicated natural light studio space in downtown Red Deer.
Throughout my time here I photographed hundreds of newborn babes and pregnant mamas. My goal for this space was to create a peaceful and soothing atmosphere where my clients would be able to rest easy during their session. Newborn sessions tend to run a bit long with feedings and clean up in-between actual photo taking, so I really wanted the parents to be comfortable during this time. The studio was always filled with textures, wonderful scents and beautiful books of poetry and design. It had it's own soft heartbeat.
I spent five wonderful years in my little studio. After a short break to tend to my family, I returned to photographing exclusively on-location in clients homes. When the time is right and the right space becomes available in the Lacombe area I fully plan on having a studio once again. A new space with my new name, Ashley Logan, written upon the door.
