Product Favourites
There are so many Eminence products to love. I tend to incorporate different products at different times of the year depending on seasonal changes or my skins needs.
There are products for every skin type, to give an example I am combination/normal with acne triggers of monthly hormones, stress and certain food. Being 37 years old also means that my skin is starting to show those pesky signs of aging, so I like to support my skin health as much as possible. I can’t stop aging from happening but I can help the transition with a bit more grace.
My stress has been a bit higher than usual this last year, even for me, and my skin was telling the story loud and clear. I have really dedicated myself to being gentle on my skin, creating rituals I stick to and giving my body time to heal and repair. It can take weeks and sometimes months to begin seeing the benefits of a new routine because we are dealing with your skins deeper layers and cell turnover, so it’s important to be patient. The goal is healthy skin, not perfect skin. We’re working towards renewed and improved texture, tone, clarity, moisture levels and brightness.
Even though I have so many favourites I have chosen just a couple to highlight that I am currently using:
Stone Crop Cleansing Oil
The first step in a great double cleanse starts with Stone Crop Cleansing Oil. It has hydrating and moisturizing Stone Crop, a detoxifying microgreens complex (Broccoli, Radish and Clover sprouts, and Detoxophane from Swiss cress sprouts), Sunflower Oil and Jojoba Oil. It’s awesome for removing eye makeup, sunscreen and to melt the days gunk buildup off your face.
*I like to use this oil as my first step in a double cleanse on a dry face and gently massage in, being careful but thorough on any eye makeup.
Firm Skin Acai Cleanser
This is a cream based cleanser that smells lovely. It’s antioxidant rich with acai berry, blueberry and raspberry juice. Seabuckthorn berry protects skin's moisture barrier and fights the look of wrinkles and botanical hyaluronic acid (from marshmallow plant extract) hydrates and plumps.
*This is my current choice for a second cleanse. Be sure to massage this cleanser into the face for at least a full minute to really get the full benefits.
Arctic Berry Peel & Peptide Illuminating System
This gorgeous little package is our Eminence Arctic Berry Peel & Peptide Illuminating System. This is a light, at-home version of the fabulous Arctic Berry Enzyme Treatment that we do here at the spa. It’s a wonderful way to prolong and support the results after a professional facial. This illuminating treatment restores radiance, reduces fine lines, wrinkles + dark spots, and improves dullness in the skin. Since it’s a chemical exfoliant it works below the skins surface as well, as opposed to a physical (gritty/sandy) exfoliant that works a bit more superficially to polish the top layer.
*Great for most skin types. You can use this system once per week for about 3 months (12 applications).
Strawberry Rhubarb Masque
This masque is hydrating, replenishing and smells like heaven. The strawberries gently exfoliate while the rhubarb and vegan-friendly hyaluronic acid calm and plump, for a refreshed appearance. This is a gorgeous masque to give your skin a boost.
This masque mixes beautifully with other cream masques like the Bamboo Age Corrective or Calm Skin Arnica — so good!
*I love masques! I often rotate between several for various benefits that each offer. You can create real magic by mixing masques (multi masking). Be sure to really massage the masque into slightly damp skin so the ingredients have the opportunity to penetrate and work to their full potential.
Monoi Age Corrective Night Cream for Face & Neck
A nourishing and deeply hydrating overnight cream. It has an “anti-aging” stem cell complex, with argan stem cells and nutmeg seed extract. This combo stimulates dermal stem cells aiding in repair and rejuvenation and increases adipogenesis. This means that it will help to add density to the skin, and softens the skin decreasing wrinkle depth. Yes please!
*This is my night time facial cream. It has a shea butter base and has great glide. I highly recommend taking the time to massage the facial muscles as you work this cream in at night. Self massage is a great way to unwind, plus it contributes to your skin health.
Arctic Berry Peptide Radiance Cream
This is daytime cream has a Peptide Illuminating Complex; an antioxidant-rich mix of hibiscus seed botanical peptides, gardenia stem cells and yellow plum extract. Very simply put, as we age we loose collagen. Collagen helps to keep the skin firm and minimizes the visible appearance of aging. So why are peptides important? Peptides help to encourage the body to produce more collagen! Eminence has several peptide products but this still remains one of my favourites.
*This is my current daytime cream. It moisturizes yet absorbs completely. This is also probably one of the best smelling products Eminence makes.
